In my blog post last Tuesday, I brought up this painting, in all its massive glory. It's 24" x 48", acrylic on canvas, and I met the goal I had last week of finishing it by Friday!
The more I stare at it, the more I'm really quite proud of it. I was immensely nervous about painting the flags, the flowers (one is the Iris, the state flower of Tennessee, and one is a branch from the Tulip Poplar, which is the state tree) and the train, but to look at it now, I think those are some of the portions of the painting that I'm most excited about. Perhaps this is because I was so nervous to work on them?
I'll just post some more pictures for you. It was a fabulously entertaining painting to do, so now I'll just shut up for once and let you look.
Thanks for looking, and enjoy your Tuesday!
